As Chloe readied for the night shift at Bar Lara, she felt it coming on. First her fingers tingled, then her forearms. The tremors never manifested in exactly the same way, but she knew. Sometimes she felt them in the legs first. She had noticed spasms in the back of her eyes once, or so it seemed that way. And so, with this, she took her pills. She swallowed and closed her eyes and hoped. At the bar, the tremors subsided enough for her to work, enough to serve wine and tapas and to somehow smile.
